2020s

This decade got started by my travelling solo to Palm Springs and playing in what was to become my last Golf Channel AM Tour tournament at Terra Lago in Indio. Little did we know what was about to happen around the world. I don’t even think we knew what the word covid meant.

We then flew to Fort Lauderdale FL to go on a bridge cruise in the Caribbean with one of the world’s best bridge instructors Larry Cohen. LIz and I managed to come back home with a fair number of master points.

We weren’t home long before we were off again, this time to Honolulu, where we rested a few days before flying to Auckland NZ for the start of a 2-week cruise from Auckland to Melbourne, Australia.
On the way home, we laid over at Turtle Bay Resort on the northshore of Oahu for a couple of nights. It was only then that the harsh reality of a worldwide pandemic was becoming apparent.

We were lucky to get out of Hawaii when we did as a lot of travellers got quarantined there soon thereafter.

Welcome to the decade of covid.
