Best Ever Movie
I have watched thousands of movies over the years. So, to narrow it down to the best movie ever is not an easy task.
Casablanca, Star Wars, The Godfather, Raiders of the Lost Ark, American Graffiti, all the James Bond movies — all would make my short list of favorite movies.
But the movie I have watched the most times is David Lynch’s cult classic Mulholland Drive. It is impossible on first viewing to understand what scenes are real and what scenes are imagined. And this is quite intentional. Lynch never disclosed how to interpret the movie, leaving that task up to the individual viewer.
I have read many third-party interpretations and they do not all agree with one another.
But I keep watching it, over and over. The acting and cinematography are superb. A couple of scary moments. A couple of sex scenes. A couple of funny moments. Some nice music. I never grow tired of seeing it again and always pick-up something new on each viewing.
That’s what a great movie is all about.
