Office Photos

As far back as I can remember, I’ve had a working office at home so I can work in the early morning hours without bothering anyone else.

In our first home in Castro Valley I took over one of the guest bedrooms. In Barrington I had a separate office on the ground floor. In Minnesota my office was behind a sliding bookshelf that gave me complete privacy when I wanted it. In Princeton I had a beautiful 2nd floor room at the end of the hallway that was enormous.

But my favorite office by far is my current one at Talking Rock that I have filled the walls with a lifetime of memories. I am in there every morning clearing email, checking bank and credit card balances, and trading stocks.

All the thinking behind this website occurs at my antique desk which I purchased in Minnesota. My photo albums are all nearby as are my scanner/printer and old-school filing cabinets.

Everytime I look up and scan the walls, I am reminded of scenes from my life. I can’t tell you how much that motivates me and pushes me to keep creatively telling my story through this website.

My only hope is that I will have enough time to finish the story before I am no longer around. I was reminded this week of our mortal nature as two of my high school classmates just passed away. I don’t know when my date with destiny will be, but I am going to keep pushing the envelope until then.

Carpe Diem.
