My Dad’s older brother (my Uncle Dave) lived in Salinas. about a 90-minute drive from Dos Palos. He was a farmer just like Dad but his specialty was lettuce and strawberries which grow especially well in the Salinas Valley.
Our two families often spent Easter and Thanksgiving together.
This photo may have been the first time I got to meet my cousins David and Kathleen. They had six children in total, so it was quite an affair when all of us got together.
